Footprints
in the Sand

One night a woman/man
had a dream that she/he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from her/his life. For each scene, she/he noticed
two sets
of footprints in the sand; one belonging to her/him, the other belonging to
the Lord.
When the last scene of
her/his life flashed before her/him, she/he looked back at the
footprints in the sand. She/He noticed that many times along the path of her/his
life
there was only one set of footprints, and that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times in her/his life...
This really bothered
her/him and she/he questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me
all the way.
But during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of
footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most, you would leave me."
The Lord replied, "My
precious, precious child. I love you, (NAME), and I would never
leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one
set of
footprints, it was then that I carried you."
When things go wrong
as they sometimes will.
When the road you're crossing seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you try to smile but you have to sigh.
When cares are pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must,
But, (NAME) don't quit.
Don't give up, though
the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with your next blow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
It's the difference between faith and doubt.
You may be close, though it seems so far.
It's hard to tell how close you really are.
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem their worse,
That you must not quit.
When someone does a kindness
It always seems to me...
That's the way God up in heaven
Would like us all to be.
For when we bring some
pleasure,
To another human heart,
We have followed in His footsteps,
We've had a little part...
In serving Him who loves
us,
For I am sure it's true,
That in serving those around us,
We serve and please Him too.
I said a prayer for you
today, (NAME),
And know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart,
although He spoke no word.
I didn't ask for wealth
or fame,
I knew you wouldn't mind.
I asked Him to send treasures,
Of a far more lasting kind.
I asked that He'd be
near you,
At the start of each new day.
To grant you health and blessings,
And friends to share your way.
I asked for happiness
for you,
In all things great and small.
But it was His loving care,
I prayed for most of all.
Rainbows appear after
mighty storms,
When things look their very worst.
Just when skies are darkest gray,
Look for the rainbow first.
The rainbow is a sign
of God's promise,
That He will guide us through all our trials.
No matter what their
form,
When you feel battered by life's storms,
And you are filled with doubt and dismay,
Just remember God's rainbow will come,
For it's only a prayer away.
Our Father
Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those
Who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil;
For Thine is the Kingdom,
And the Power,
And the Glory, forever.

You are a witness to
many miracles,
This fact you may not know.
If you'll open your eyes to God's wonders,
These miracles will be shown.
The miracle of friendship,
The miracle of true love.
The miracle of laughter,
The miracle of our tears.
The miracle of our growing and maturing o'er the years,
The miracle of each loved one.
The miracle of joy that
comes with the miracle
Of a newborn girl or boy.
Oh, let us focus our
clouded eyes,
On miracles all 'round.
For whenever we can see clearly,
God's miracles can be found.
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change, courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this
sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will
make all things right if I
surrender to His will;
That I may be reasonably
happy in this life,
and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.

I find comfort for each
care,
Wrapped in a promise wondrous fair.
No matter what the grief or pain,
There will be sunshine after the rain.
A softest rainbow spans
the sky.
A symbol He keeps watch on high.
If we abide in Him each day,
We can never lose our way.
Immortal love through
time to be,
Is what He planned for you and me.
Accept His help, (NAME), turn not away,
There is new hope in God each day.

Although you may not
see them,
you are always in their sight.
They bring the gift of
love and guidance,
It is called the "Angel Light".
You know they always
hear you,
to them your voice is dear
With the comfort that
they bring to you,
You need not ever fear.
So here's a place for
(NAME) to come,
to do with angels what must be done.
To make our world whole
and bright,
and share with all, the "Angel Light".

For frozen lakes and rivers
